For your first visit please allow extra time. Your time with the Doctor will be approximately 1 hour. You will also need time for follow-up at the front desk after your appointment. The new patient form is very detailed. You are welcome to download it here:
New Patient Form > Otherwise allow 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete the form. We advise bringing a list of supplements and medications you are currently taking if applicable, as well as medical reports or labs that you may have. During your time with the Doctor, medical history will be taken along with an exam. At most first appointments, an initial assessment can be given and treatment introduced. If you are in pain, have an urgent situation or are out of town, please specify when booking your appointment and we will try to accommodate. Follow-up visits are typically 20-30 minutes but can vary according to the treatment program. Extended visits are recommended for out-of-town patients, complicated conditions, or if a patient would like to cover several concerns in the same visit. Any new health issue, injury or diagnosis requiring an exam needs to be booked as a first visit. If injections, lab testing or supplements are part of your programme these are separate charges. If you are a current patient with a new concern, injury or diagnosis, an assessment and possibly a form will be required. Please advise us before your appointment or when making the booking. Our clinic has had good results adapting our programmes for long distance patients. The first visit must be in person and we strongly recommend schedulling 2 in-office visits which can be over 2 days. Follow-ups can usually be arranged by phone. Please contact the front desk for more details. If you need treatment for injures related to a motor vehicle accident or workplace injury let us know as soon as possible and complete our injury form. Injury Form > Payment is due at the time of service, when laboratory tests are ordered and when prescribed remedies are delivered picked up. Cash, debit and credit card (Visa, Master card) are accepted. If you have extended insurance, please note that each policy is different and our staff are unable to know your specific plan. You will need to clarify coverage with your health benefits manager. We do not bill extended insurance plans, WCB or ICBC directly. Reimbursement from these agencies is the responsibility of the patient however the doctor will complete forms when requested directly by these agencies. If an appointment needs to be changed please provide 48 hours notice to avoid a charge. Free parking is available in our complex and on the surrounding streets. The Fourth Ave and Highbury parking accesses allow 1.5 - 4 hours free parking depending on the specific location. The Alma St parking level is limited to 60 minutes (enforced). There are bike stands by the main entrance (Alma St). Elevator access is available from all levels from NE corner of the complex. The products in our dispensary are selected from the highest quality available. Our dispensary is for professional use only, for both patients in our clinic and patients who have been referred with their doctors' prescription. We are not able to sell to the general public.
